Bowtiful Booties

Bowtiful Booties
In case it isn’t glaringly obvious by now, I love to crochet.  I mean, I absolutely love it.  Because of this, I make a ton of crocheted gifts for the various people in my life.  Some gifts are well received and others are not.  I am lucky that there are only a few people who have treated my yarn-y offerings with disdain, because that is the worst.  I am equally lucky that I have people who adore the things I make for them.  My sister-in-law is one such person.  She knows how much work goes into homemade gifts and has a way of making the crafter feel as though they have just painted the Sistine Chapel.  When I found out she was expecting another girl, I knew I wanted to make something for the upcoming little one.  I wanted it to be simple and pretty, so I made these booties.

As always, this pattern has not been tested so if you notice any problems with it please let me know either in the comments section or at CrochetBot3000@gmail.com. You can also find me on Facebook at http://www.facebook.com/Crochetbot3000.

  1. Hello! Booties are so cute :) Can i ask whether you use American or British crochet terms? You know how a British single crochet is an American double crochet? Thanks :) Rachelle

  2. These booties are so adorable I’ve already made one and it came out great! My only question is what row do you switch colors?

    • Hi Alyzza! I am glad you like the booties. I did the color changes on all booties at the 5th round and the last round. For the bows, the color change happens on the last row. I originally left it out so that crocheters could do the color the way they wanted, but, after thinking about it, I have decided to update the pattern. It makes more sense to do it that way :)
